Exhibits at Alaska State Museum include dioramas and artifacts from Native Alaskans, icons from the Russian era and natural history displays of Southeast Alaska.
There is a replica of Capt. George Vancouver's ship Discovery in the children's room. The Alaska State Museum Store carries Alaska Native crafts, plus other books and gifts.
Children and students are admitted free.
