Healy Alaska

Healy is located in Denali Borough on the Nenana River just north of the entrance to Denali National Park and Preserve on the [parkswhy].

Healy was developed by the Usibelli Coal Mine in 1918, and has grown to become one of Alaska's largest coal mining operations. Coal mines in the Healy area supply South Korea, the military, the University Of Alaska Fairbanks and the Fairbanks area.

Visitor information is available at the Greater Healy/Denali Chamber of Commerce, 1/2 mile east of the George Parks Highway, MP 248.8.
